The Emwin editor is based on several libraries from the Qt Toolkit, which enables developers to create cross platform applications. In order to give the Emwin editor a familiar interface, its representation was designed with a view to existing tools that were already familiar to users of Windows and Mac OS X platforms. This resulted in an interface that has a similar look and feel between these different platforms. By deriving from the Qt 4 library, Emwin supports custom editing operations - operations which can be performed by pressing a combination of keys or mouse buttons. This functionality enables the creation of more efficient user interfaces for building applications. Emwin supports Unicode fonts, which enables you to display any text on the screen using any language. The editor is completely customizable. It is possible to change its name or description, modify features of the toolbar or page templates, assign advanced editing operations to existing mouse buttons or create own pages templates. Also, custom icons can be used for any tool features. * Emwin is released under GNU General Public Licence version 2. The source code of the editor can be downloaded from its website . * Emwin has been used by the developer community since version 1.0 in 2003 . The focus of development has been on improving interoperability with other editors and GUIs, as well as extending its functionality . eccc085e13
